GO.27 Dt.25-10-17 Hindi/Urdu, as may be opted as 2nd language from Classes VI to X in the case of students who have taken Telugu as First Language

School Education Department - Implementation of Three Language Formula – The Telangana Study of Languages in School Education Rules, 2003 – Amendment to G.O.Ms.No.86, Education (SE-C&TBP) Department, dated 02.07.2003 – Orders - Issued

The Secretary, Minorities Welfare (Estt.I) Department, has requested to issue necessary orders for providing option of studying Urdu as 2nd Language to those Muslim Community students of Telangana Minorities Residential Schools, who are opting Telugu as 1st Language and English as 3rd Language.

The Commissioner and Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad has proposed an amendment to the G.O.Ms.No.86 Education (SEC& TBP) Department dated 02.07.2003 duly incorporating the provision of study for the English Medium students, permitting ‘Urdu’ as ‘Second’ Language from Classes VI to X, for those who are opting ‘Telugu’ as ‘First’ Language and ‘English’ as ‘Third’ Language. Subject can be prepared thoroughly, But where as General Knowledge and Current Affairs we cannot expect from which topic question may arise. 
The Government after careful examination of the said proposal of the Commissioner and Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad, have decided to issue the following amendment to the Rules mentioned in the G.O.Ms.No.86, Education (SE-C&TBP) Department, dated 02.07.2003

"Hindi/Urdu, as may be opted, in the case of students who have taken Telugu as First Language"
